TEACHERS and STUDENT MOBILITY

Introduction
The Erasmus Mobility Programme is a European Union initiative which aims to encourage
international exchange in the improvement of learning.
The Prime School applied to the Erasmus+ programme, under strand KA122 - Individual mobility for
learning, education and training purposes with the project “Europe4you - Active European students
through gamification and digital education in a sustainable environment” which will take place
between September 2023 and March 2024.
This mobility is aimed at students from Y10 to Y13 and Prime School teachers.
The school's participation in the ERASMUS+ Programme comes under the framework of its European
Development Plan which has the following main objectives:
• encourage the learning of modern foreign languages;
• develop innovative pedagogies and content based on ICT and lifelong learning practices;
• improve the quality and diversity of curriculum activities, improving students' motivation for
school success;
• reinforce European identity, the feeling of belonging to the European Union and the appreciation
of diversity;
• reinforce students' knowledge and proximity towards the European labor market;
• improve the European quality of teacher and non-teacher training;
• increase teachers’ and non-teaching staff’s skills, through the sharing of good practices and
exchanging experiences;
• improve teaching methods and school management;
Article 1
Purpose
These Rules of Procedure establish the general ERASMUS Program rules and guidelines in regard to
mobility of students and teachers accompanying students or teachers in training in our 2023/2025
Erasmus+ project, “Europe4You”.
These project and its mobility periods are publicized, to all the participant academic years by
posting it in the school atrium and by presenting it in the Students assembly, by the Erasmus
coordinator, Sandra Tarré, and the Erasmus Team at Prime School, Brigida Henriques, Vânia Silva,
Ana Ferraria (Y12 and Y13 coordinator), Ilda Veiga (Y10 and Y11 coordinator).
Also, a Google classroom was created where all the students from participating academic years can
find all the information, objectives and deadlines to submit their work in chronological order.
Once candidates for ERASMUS mobilities have been selected, Prime School through its Erasmus
Coordinator, must inform those in charge of education (parents or tutors), for a joint meeting with
the Erasmus project coordinator, with the following agenda:
a) Objectives and Location of Mobility;
b) Mobility start and end date;
c) Transport to be used for travel;
d) Accommodation and food;
e) Subsidy value;
f) Travel insurance, school and health assistance;
g) Documents necessary for mobilities, such as parental authorization to leave the
country with minors.
Article 2
General Objectives
The ERASMUS Program – KA122 (Vocational Education and Training) aims to promote student and
teachers mobility and has the following general objectives:
a) Contribute to the development of quality lifelong learning and the possibilities it confers;
b) Strengthen personal fulfillment, social cohesion, active and European citizenship;
c) Promote creativity, competitiveness and employability;
d) Increase participation in lifelong learning;
e) Promote learning and linguistic diversity;
f) Explore innovative results, products and processes.
Article 3
Management
Management of the ERASMUS Program is the responsibility of the Pedagogical Directorate of Prime
School, which coordinates it, delegating its operationalization to the Erasmus Project coordinator.
Article 4
Responsibilities in Program Management
The Erasmus Project is responsible for:
a) Application to the ERASMUS Program;
b) The recruitment of PARTNER ENTITIES;
c) Presenting a list of Host Entities (Schools and training centers);
d) Requesting the individual EUROPASS;
e) Promoting the Erasmus Program;
f) Summoning the jury to select the candidates;
g) Monitoring the entire development of the Program;
h) Informing and meeting with those in charge of education;
i) Validating all documentation related to the project;
j) Ensuring participants’ insurance policies are taken out;
k) Providing linguistic and cultural preparation for participants;
l) Ensuring all procedures necessary for the success of the Erasmus Program.
It is the student's and teacher’s responsibility to:
a) Submit your application within the deadline;
b) Deliver to the school's ERASMUS+ Project coordinator the documents needed in Mobility
(Mobility dossier and other documents linked to the project);
c) Request and deliver a copy of the European Health Card to the school;
d) Comply with and respect schedules and guidelines given in Mobility;
e) Have behavior that dignifies the school to which you belong and represent;
f) Inform the school about unforeseen occurrences in Mobility;
g) Carry out all procedures indicated in the project and in the financial contract (only for
teachers);
h) During and after mobility, participate in project dissemination activities;
i) Comply with the study plan diligently, making the necessary time adjustments;
j) In case of withdrawal or non-completion of the Mobility for reasons of force majeure,
present the necessary documents;
Article 5
Eligibility
The current contract between AN/ERASMUS+ and Prime School applies.
Article 6
Addressees
Students from Year 10 to Year 13 can apply to these mobilities.
Article 7
Duration and Location of Mobilities for students
The mobilities of students present in the approved project will each last 5 days of work + 2 days of
travel and will take place at the most opportune times, without harming students performance
during internal or external assessments, at schools in the following regions:
Andria - Italy - 4 students;
Nauplio - Greece - 4 students;
Riga - Latvia - 4 students;
Conil de la Frontera (Seville) - Spain - 4 students.
An additional mobility will be carried out to the European Parliament's facilities in Brussels, lasting
4 days (2 travel days and 2 work days), to replace the virtual visit foreseen in the first wording of
the project:
Brussels - Belgium - 4 students;
The location and duration of mobility may be adjusted for reasons of force majeure. In this case,
all interested parties will be informed through publication on the website, face-to-face meeting
and/or posting of a notice.
Article 8
Student’s Application
The student's application for Mobility begins by filling out the Application Form (attached) to be
delivered to the ERASMUS+ Project Coordinator, respecting the established deadlines.
When applying, the student must demonstrate:
a) reason why they are applying for mobility;
b) what are the goals and expectations;
c) how they consider their own maturity, autonomy and responsibility;
d) knowledge and command of the English language or foreign language of the country of
mobility;
e) acceptance of mobility regulations and conditions.
f) Deliver a research project about the European Union:
Students project participation
Your project must address these 4 topics
about the EU:
a) Process of building the European Union;
b) Institutional architecture of then European Union;
c) Competences and respective decision-making processes of the European Union;
d) Exercise of European citizenship.
Article 9
Selection criteria
The selection of candidates for Mobility is made by a jury composed of the Pedagogical Director,
coordinators, teachers of the Erasmus team and the coordinator of the Erasmus project, taking
into account art.11 of these regulations.
The jury may decide to select candidates through a face-to-face interview.
The selection criteria for students will take into account:
a) Profile, attitude, values and interpersonal relationships;
b) Maturity, autonomy and responsibility;
c) Involvement in activities developed by the school;
d) Ability to share and communicate their learning at the end of mobility;
e) Academic achievement;
f) Diversity of participants, in terms of gender, school year and nationality;
g) Low priority will be given to candidates who have already participated in mobility actions in
the same study cycle;
h) In the event of a tie, applications from final year students will be privileged.
Article 10
Teacher's application
The teacher's application for Mobility begins by filling out the Application Form for teachers to be
delivered to the ERASMUS+ Project Coordinator, respecting the established deadlines.
When applying, teachers must demonstrate:
a) Reason why they are applying for mobility;
b) What their goals and expectations are;
c) Knowledge and command of the English language or foreign language of the country of
mobility;
d) Involvement in activities developed by the school;
e) Ability to share and communicate their learning at the end of mobility;
f) Acceptance of mobility regulations and conditions.
Article 11
Selection of Students
After the application forms are analyzed, interested students will be subjected to a selection
process, excepting the winner of the competition to create the project’s Logo who has direct
access, without selection, to one of the mobilities.
The jury will meet to deliberate on the selected candidates who will carry out the mobility. For
each mobility, the jury will select 4 effective participants and 1 substitute according to the
mobility in question.
The ordered list with the results of the candidate selection process is posted in a public space at
Prime School.
Article 12
Selection of teachers
Selection priority will be based on the candidate's ability to fulfill the following points:
- has been working full-time for more than 1 year at Estoril Campus;:
- participated in the proposed activities of the Erasmus projects in which the school was
involved;
- show interest, motivation and desire to improve their pedagogical skills;
- identification by the pedagogical direction of a need to improve and reform teachers in a
certain teaching area;
- first time in mobility.
Article 13
Financial and Contractual Arrangements
The ERASMUS Program is funded by the European Union and after approval by our National Agency
of the amount allocated in the application, the amount to be awarded to each student complies
with that set out in Annex III of the financial and contractual provisions of the aforementioned
program and covers travel, individual support, and support to the organization.
Article 14
Scholarship for students for Mobility
The student participating in the mobility will have financial support for:
- Travel – between the place of origin and the place of destination. In the case of mobility in
Spain, sustainable transport will be prioritized;
- Individual support – for accommodation, local transport, meals and other expenses
necessary for survival during mobility;
This financial support will have two components: a service organized and provided by Prime School
and a weekly grant (“per diem”) for additional day-to-day expenses.
Any additional expenses, not necessary to complete the mobility, are borne by the student.
Article 15
Student behavior in Mobility
In Mobility, Prime School students must behave in a way that dignifies the school they belong to
and represent.
In each mobility, students must carry a piece of uniform with the Prime School logo.
Article 16
Responsibility of hosting organization
The PARTNER Entity, with Prime School, assumes sociocultural support, accommodation, food and
training in the context of work/activity for teachers training.
The Host Schools selected and chosen by Prime School are the place for the student's work-based
training.
The reception location must provide evident factors in valuing the student and dignifying the
participating schools.
Responsibility of hosting organization:
- Individual support in the social/cultural/economic sphere;
- Training Conditions and schedule;
- Evolution of learning;
- Validation of documentation;
- Rules, behaviors and attitudes that trainees must have throughout their mobility;
- Certification of training received.
