Active European Students through gamification and digital education in a sustainable environment
KA122-SCH - Mobility of learnings and staff in school education
2023-1-PT01-KA122-SCH-000124501
This project is a Prime School initiative and is part of the Erasmus+ programme.
It focuses on promoting European Union citizenship.
About
Europe 4 You is a project created by Prime School and approved and granted by Erasmus+ programme, which focuses on promoting European Union citizenship.
The aim of this project is to raise awareness and advocate for European Union citizenship, likely through various activities, events, and resources provided by the Erasmus+ programme.
Background:
Why did we apply for this project?
After learning about the Erasmus+ programme and its objectives, our school community felt new challenges and needs
towards internationalisation, like stabilising international projects of cooperation with other schools using mobilities or digital
tools like eTwinning, at the same time that teachers and students can explore new areas of teacher education, comparing
skillsets with peers and understanding other national policies on a topic, using the language of our curriculum and learning
more about the cultural heritage of European countries, respecting their differences and creating friendships for life.
This aims to continue to promote the internationalization path while carrying out training activities for the teaching staff and
short-term mobility for students. To ensure serious and concrete scheduling of these activities, solid international
collaborations have long been established with partner schools, similar in terms of course of study and age of the learners.
Objectives: What do you want to achieve by implementing the project
We would like to offer this training opportunity to our education personnel who are professionals in their field but are old and
have a motivation problem in adapting to new technologies and new education techniques, like STEM and Gamification.
We do our best to bring the language skills of our teachers and other educational staff closer to the mother tongue level. For
this purpose, we would like to send our teachers to advanced language training courses at other educational institutions for
development and observation.
Global citizenship education is necessary as we believe that the creativity and innovation of our courses and projects must
serve the broader purpose of educating and training a new generation of global citizens and fostering critical thinking and
proactive engagement towards more ambitious climate neutrality targets and environmental policy initiatives at European
and global level.
Develop gamification and incorporate the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Implementation:
What activities are you going to implement?

Results
What results do you expect your project to have?
Students will learn, through the gamification methodology, details about EU institutions, and face a challenge based on both
ICT knowledge and civic education competence, moreover, working in international teams, they will improve transversal skills
such as communication in English, team working, self-awareness, creativity, and sharing common beliefs. Pupils will
understand EU ideas and objectives in the field of human rights and democratic participation and disseminate the results of
their work to other schoolmates.
Teachers will develop innovative and motivating teaching methodologies, using gamification tools, Steam, ICT, and roleplaying,
to involve students in their learning process; they will improve their language skills, and immerse in the story and in the local
culture, have the opportunity to meet and exchange views with educators from other countries and establish lasting ties,
strengthening international collaborations. Active integration and dissemination of results.
